About the DIAP

The Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) is Council’s four-year plan to make our community more inclusive, accessible, and welcoming for people with disability, their families and carers.

It guides how we:

  • Make Council services and spaces easier to access
  • Support participation in community life and employment
  • Build positive attitudes and inclusive systems

The DIAP focuses on what Council can directly influence - like facilities, services, events, training, and communication. We also advocate for areas outside our control, including corporate, state or federal organisations.

Your lived experience matters most — your insights and feedback will help shape the next plan and make sure it reflects what really makes a difference.

You can read the current 2023-2027 DIAP in PDF or Easy Read.

More opportunities to have your say

We will be running in-person consultations with People with Disability and other members of the disability community to gather more feedback about access and inclusion in the Bathurst Regional Council Area.
