Council supports pet owners in the community by providing twelve designated off leash areas. One of the most popular is the Bicentennial Park/River Road Park area , as shown here. The Bicentennial Park/River Road Park area is currently only off leash before 8.00am and after 5.00pm each day.


Members of the community have requested that Council consider amending these hours in the winter months to allow dog owners to walk their dogs off leash from 4.00pm. It is acknowledged that many members of the community will not be comfortable walking their dogs after dark. Council would like to seek feedback from the community for this proposal.
