Seniors Festival
NSW Seniors Festival is on 25 March - 3 April and celebrates the valuable contribution seniors make to our community. Here in Bathurst, it is our way of saying thank you to seniors and a great opportunity for all the generations to join with older people to celebrate.

Musicians in the Park
Bring a rug, order your favourite take away and sit back and relax in Kings Parade for two Musicians in the Park performances in April.

Cinema in the Park
First held last year during the Bathurst Cycling Classic, the cinema was a hit with the young families. A couple of local musicians will perform in the lead up to the movie.
Who: Film Ice Age 3 – Dawn of the Dinosaur
Time: Live music from 4.00pm. Movie to start at 6.00pm

Community Strategic Plan
The Bathurst Regional Community Strategic Plan, Our Region Our Future, is the community’s plan for the future of our region. It captures the ideas, priorities, and aspirations of our community.
Help us make sure the Bathurst Region is heading in the right direction by being part of the conversation. The draft plan is on exhibition from 28 March until 29 April.

Information sessions
Two public information sessions are scheduled during the exhibition period to be held:
- 7 April commencing at 5.30pm, and
- 12 April commencing at 1.00pm.

Notice of Roadworks – Night works
Weather permitting, Council will be carrying out night works, road patching in Rankin Street between Howick and Russell Streets; Russell Street between Rankin and Bentink Streets and Russell Street from Havannah to Alpha Streets from Sunday March 27 to Friday April 1.
The works will be carried out from Sunday to Thursday nights between 6.30pm and 6.30am. Vehicular access residences may be affected for a short period of time.

Autumn Colours
The Autumn Colours program will incorporate the Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail and Heritage Week culminating with Proclamation Day.
The Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail is on 9-10 April with over 100 artisans exhibiting at the Bathurst Showground and Agricultural Research Station with a series of workshops and demonstrations.
The Heritage Week activities have been expanded with tours and events scheduled from Saturday 30 April including tours of the TAFE building, Uniting Church, St Stephen’s and Keppel Street and concluding with Proclamation Day on Sunday 8 May.

Seniors Festival
The NSW Seniors Festival will run from Friday 25 to Sunday 3 April with a variety of activities and entertainment available for all seniors to enjoy. Some of the highlights include a scenic drive and pub lunch at the halfway hotel Hampton, Kamahl performing at the RSL club and free active seniors exercise classes at CityFit. Penrith Panthers V Newcastle Knights. The Penrith Panthers return to Carrington Park for a round 3 block buster against the Newcastle Knights on Saturday 26 March.

Tafe Precinct EOI
Council has extended the deadline for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Redevelopment of the former TAFE Precinct to Thursday, 31 March. This extension is in consideration of Covid disruptions experienced in the EOI timeframe to date and is to ensure high-quality proposals are received.
Blayney Road Common and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park
A draft management plan for the Blayney Road Common and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park has been placed on public exhibition. The management plan has been developed for the ongoing conservation and management of the woodland reserve. Feedback will close on Monday, 28 March at 4.00pm.

ClubGRANTS Scheme
Bathurst Regional Council invites local community organisations to apply for funding from the 2022 ClubGRANTS Scheme. Information on ClubGRANTS funding guidelines and application forms are available on Council’s website: www.bathurst.nsw. gov.au or the ClubsNSW website www.clubsnsw.com.au, or contact Council on 6333 6523. Applications close at 4pm on Friday 22 April.
Sporting Association Grants
Each year Council provides a grant scheme to assist local sporting organisations to undertake specific works or purchase equipment for the advancement of sport in the region. ‘No Ordinary Life’ – Author Talk

Author Anne Hutchison returns to the Library to discuss her second book ‘No Ordinary Life’- a historical biography about the authors parents’ experience of WWII and the research and detective work that went into writing it.
