Under Section 7.11 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, Council can require the payment of a monetary contribution and/or the dedication of land free of cost, where there is a demonstrated nexus between the proposed development and the infrastructure that is required to be delivered. The apportionment payable is usually calculated based on the size, nature and scale of the development.
Council has adopted a range of Section 7.11 Development Contributions Plans that provide for infrastructure including:
Drainage
Open space
Roads, bridges, car parking and intersection works
