Event of the Year Awards Nomination Form 2024

Do you know of an event that was held this year in Bathurst that highlighted our community spirit or brought tourists to the area? Why not nominate it for an Event of the Year Award. There are three award categories :

• 2024 Bathurst Region Community Event of the Year Award which celebrates events that add to the living experience in Bathurst

• 2024 Bathurst as a Destination Event of the Year Award which recognises events that have strengthened Bathurst as a tourist destination

• 2024 Bathurst New Event of the Year Award which recognises a new event that was held in 2024

Prize

Each winner will receive a $1,500 radio advertising package with Bathurst Broadcasters.

These awards will be presented at the Australia Day Awards ceremony Sunday 26 January 2025.

Assessment Process and timeline

The Event of the Year nominations are assessed by the Australia Day Working Party, with the assessment process based on the information made available in these nomination forms.

Criteria

The event must have been held in the Bathurst Region between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2024
The event must have strengthened Bathurst as a tourist destination and encouraged visitors to the region OR have added to the living experience within the Bathurst Region.
New event nominations can be either an innovative concept just getting off the ground and seen as becoming a regular occurrence or a one off event.
Events can be held at any venue or at any time within the region.
Events can be nominated by commercial, not-for-profit, community, school, special or sporting groups.
If the same event wins an award three times it will be inducted into the hall of fame and won’t be eligible to nominate again.
