Public workshop - Bathurst Region Active Transport Strategy – Draft Implementation Plan for a new Active Transport Network

Council has commenced the second stage of community engagement to inform preparation of the Bathurst Region Active Transport Strategy.

Stage 1 engagement focussed on identifying the community’s issues within the existing active transport network, such as missing links, unsafe crossing points and accessibility issues and so on - for more information see the project updates below.

Stage 2 will focus on discussing a medium and long-term implementation plan for a future network in accordance with State and National best practices.


STAGE 2 - PUBLIC WORKSHOP - MEDIUM AND LONG TERM IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

Council has invited members of the community to a public workshop to discuss a medium and long-term implementation plan for a future active transport network.

The purpose of the workshop will be to outline, discuss and seek feedback on:

  • The draft plan for a future collector and arterial active transport network.
  • Draft concept improvement plans that show the type of on and off-road improvements being considered across the City and within the CBD to support and deliver that new network.

Representatives from Bitzios Consulting and Council will be in attendance.
