Update 16 June
What is happening?
Essential Energy have planned a power outage for the purpose of relocating and changing electrical infrastructure on Thursday, 18 June starting at 8 am. This will affect residential households located in the area. Generators will be supplied to the shops and Assumption School to keep them in operation.
The intersection is taking shape and significant road realignment works have occurred between Suttor and Lambert Streets over the last couple of weeks. A footpath has been constructed and turf has also been laid in front of the shops. Works are now focusing on construction of a carpark at the tennis courts as well as relocation of NBN, Telstra and electricity services. Starting on Monday, 22 June asphalt works on Mitre Street will commence.
The Suttor, Mitre and Lambert Street intersection will remain open under traffic control, however delays are to be expected to the flow of traffic with the speed limit reduced to 40km while the works are underway.
