Draft Social Media Policy - Councillors

Consultation has concluded

The Office of Local Government has advised that due to the increased use of Social Media by elected representatives it intends to introduce a requirement for NSW Councils to develop a Social Media Policy for Councillors. In 2021 there will also be a general local government election in September.

Taking these factors into consideration Council has developed a draft Social Media Policy for Councillors. A copy of the draft policy can be downloaded from the Document Library.

Council is seeking feedback on the draft policy and a submission can be lodged below, or by sending a submission to The General Manager, Bathurst Regional Council, PMB17, Bathurst 2795.

Submissions close 4pm 29 January 2021.
