Council has undertaken a review of suburb boundaries in Kelso and Laffing Waters. The existing suburb boundaries between Kelso and Laffing Waters will run through the middle of one of the later stages of the Marsden Heights Estate. This would create a complicated situation where a number of individual lots and a number of roads are bisected by the suburb boundary.
In order to avoid this scenario, it is proposed that the suburb boundary between Kelso and Laffing Waters be realigned so that it is clear of the proposed lots and associated roads. The new alignment follows an existing watercourse that will become a drainage reserve and public open space corridor. Aside from the owner/developer of the Marsden Heights Estate, no other private landowners will be impacted by the proposed suburb boundary realignment.
See the Document Library for the report to Council's meeting held 10 December 2025, a plan of the existing suburb boundary (red broken line) and the proposed suburb boundary (blue broken line) and the approved plan of subdivision.
