What is the Positive Ageing Strategy?

    The Positive Ageing Strategy is a whole city Ageing Strategy and aims to improve the region's ability to cater for an ageing population.

    How can I have my say?

    You can participate by completing the online survey (available in hardcopy), taking party in the Community Focus Groups or participating in the Community Consultation - Seniors Festival Events.

    Who can participate?

    Anyone with an interest in the topic is welcome to contribute - residents, businesses, community groups and stakeholders.

    How long is the consultation open?

    The consultation is open from Monday 2 March 2026 and closes on Friday 24 April 2026. 

    Will my comments be anonymous?

    Confidentiality and anonymity are assured. Your privacy will be respected.
    All information collected will be held by Council in line with NSW government legislation and will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected. An individual may view their personal information and may correct any errors.

    What happens to my feedback?

    It will be reviewed by the Community Services team and it will help us shape the Positive Ageing Strategy. 

    Where can I collect a hardcopy of the survey?

    Hardcopies of the surveys can be collected from:
