Youth Council elected

Mayor of Bathurst Bobby Bourke has welcomed the 14 members of the 2020/21 Youth Council into their role.

The new Youth Council met for the first time this week and elected Bathurst High student Zoe Peters Youth Mayor and St Stanislaus College student Joshua Borland as Youth Deputy Mayor.

Mayor Bourke congratulated the incoming Youth Council members.

The Youth Council plays an important role in our community and within Council and I congratulate all those who were selected to serve on Youth Council for this current term.

“I look forward to seeing what you achieve as a group and attending the many events and activities you get involved in during this term.”

The 2020/21 Youth Council is:

  • Youth Mayor: Zoe Peters, Bathurst High Campus- Denison College
  • Deputy Youth Mayor: Joshua Borland, St Stanislaus College
  • Maddison Sufong: Kelso High Campus-Denison College
  • Loukia Robson: Kelso High Campus-Denison College
  • Jared Bignell: Kelso High Campus-Denison College
  • Ben Davis: St Stanislaus College
  • Travis Barrie: St Stanislaus College
  • Stella Hall: Mackillop College
  • Rosie O’Leary: Mackillop College
  • Ashley Maalouf: Mackillop College
  • Joseph O’Neill: Scots All Saints College
  • George Butler: Scots All Saints College
  • Sabine Fitzpatrick-Trevillion: Bathurst High Campus- Denison College
  • Harvey Lew: Bathurst High Campus- Denison College

Youth Mayor Zoe Peters said she was excited and honoured to take on the role of Youth Mayor.

“It's an absolute privilege just to be on the youth council, amongst 14 of the most amazing young leaders of Bathurst. To be elected mayor of such an influential group is beyond incredible and I'm so excited to see where we go and what we can achieve in our coming term.”
