Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000
- Get your fan gear or memorabilia signed by your favourite driver in Kings Parade on Wednesday, October 9. All Supercars drivers participating in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 will be divided into two signing sessions. The first session is at 12.15pm and the second session is at 1.15pm.
- The Saturday Street Fair will be on 12 October from 10am to 4pm. It is an opportunity take the family out to the markets in Kings Parade, enjoy the children’s rides and a variety of tasty treats.
- Local businesses are invited to participate in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 window display competition from Monday, 30 September to Sunday, 13 October. Dress windows or shopfronts in a race theme for a chance to win amazing prizes. Council will supply a starter pack with posters, balloons and bunting. Winners announced on Tuesday, 8 October and People’s Choice winner announced on Thursday, 17 October. To register, send your business details to kaitlin.collins@bathurst.nsw.gov.au or call 6333 6111. Registrations close Monday 23 September.
- Children are invited to take part in this year’s Bathurst 1000 colouring competition. Prizes include double trackside passes to the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000,

Water Smart Gardening
Qualified horticulturist and award-winning gardener, Dhyan Blore, will present a series of workshops for home gardeners at Rahamim Ecology Centre. Topics include caring for plants in dry times, maximising water in gardens and plants, the importance of mulch, features of drought tolerant plants, water for backyard birds and wildlife and using greywater on gardens. Extreme Level Water Restrictions and Your Business Workshop
Council is running a one-hour information session for businesses that utilise the Bathurst water supply at BMEC on Thursday, 26 September at 10.00am. Information regarding business-related water restrictions, residential pool permits, exemption procedures, water efficiency plans, the opportunities for water audits, support and more will be provided at the session. Household Chemical CleanOut
Use CleanOut to safely dispose of household chemicals on Friday, 25 October
at Cooke Hockey Complex, Sydney Road, from 8.00am – 4.00pm.
This is an NSW EPA Waste Less, Recycle More initiative.

The Pillars of Bathurst project honours the lives and contributions of past residents who have played an important role in the history of the region throughout the different eras. Bathurst Regional Art Gallery
Bathurst Art Fair Opening Friday 27 September 6pm
To be opened by Tracey Callinan, Executive Director, Arts Outwest. Entry to opening by gold coin donation. An initiative of the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery Society Inc. (BRAGS Inc.), the Bathurst Art Fair will sell art priced to suit every budget, featuring works in all media including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking and ceramics from artists from the Bathurst Regional Council district and surrounding areas including the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Oberon, Blayney, Cowra, Orange and Mudgee.
