COVID - 19


Council is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and following the guidelines of the relevant state and federal departments. We are continuing to monitor developments and asses any potential impact on Council’s services, facilities and events. As this is a rapidly changing situation please follow BRC on Facebook and visit our website for regular updates and information on

event cancellations and more. We ask for your support and if you are unwell, please contact us by phone or email rather than in person.

Council facilities


Council remains open but is delivering many services differently. The Civic Centre is open and we have implemented a number of changes to ensure appropriate social distancing and measures to protect the health of our community and staff.


Please only visit if you are well. We are available via phone and email to answer enquiries.


The Small Animal Pound is still providing pet adoptions but by appointment only.

Our focus remains on delivering essential services to the community and providing access to services

and facilities where possible.


2020 Clubgrants Scheme
Council invites local community organisations to apply for funding from the 2020 ClubGRANTS Scheme. The Program allows registered clubs with annual gaming machine revenue exceeding $1 million to apply a percentage of their gaming machine revenue to community development and support projects.


Projects in the following categories may qualify for category one funding:


·Community welfare and social services

·Community development

·Community health services

·Employment assistance activities.


Applications close at 4pm on Friday 24 April 2020. Further information regarding ClubGRANTS funding guidelines and application forms are available on Council’s website www.bathurst.nsw.gov.au call Council on 6333 6523.


Heritage Assistance Grants


Applications are now invited for small grants for the following funds:


Bathurst Region Heritage Fund

Provides small grants for the repair and maintenance of older buildings in the region. The program is supported by the NSW Heritage Branch of the Office of Environment and Heritage.


Bathurst CBD Main Street Improvement Fund

Provides small grants to assist property owners and tenants to improve, repair and maintain buildings within the Bathurst CBD.


Bathurst Region Interpretation Fund

Provides small grants for the preparation of Conservation Management Plans, historic publications and interpretation projects to promote and interpret the region’s history.


All applications close Friday 29 May. Applications for funding must be made on Council’s application form which is available on Council’s website at www.bathurst.nsw.gov.au or from the Civic Centre. For more information call 6333 6211.
