Get Grubby

Did you know that Bathurst Regional Council is a part of the dirtgirlworld Get Grubby Program for Families? These school holidays are the perfect time for you to join, if you haven’t already.

Especially created for families who are undertaking learning at home during COVID19 and beyond, the Get Grubby Program for Families celebrates nature and empowers young children to do little things at home that make a big difference.

From composting and worm farming, recycling, and saving energy to growing a veggie patch… watch the family grow and learn together while becoming backyard nature funsters.

And one lucky family from our area who signs up to the Get Grubby Program, will win a home worm farm and a Zoom wormy workshop with Costa the Garden gnome!

Just click on this link getgrubbyprogram.com/bathurst-families-login and use the post code - 2795 – when signing up

EOI Former TAFE Precinct

Council has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the redevelopment of the former TAFE Precinct.

The precinct will be a once in a generation opportunity for the Bathurst region. The precinct will include a new public plaza and new buildings, adaptive reuse of the former TAFE and headmaster’s buildings. It is informed by previous community consultation and conservation management plans.

Council is seeking development interest in the precinct with private (not Council) funding. Private funding allows for the full precinct to be developed, it also allows money from the development of new private buildings to fund the new ‘plaza’ and the adaptive reuse of the Heritage Buildings.
