Inland Sea of Sound
Tickets are on sale now for Inland Sea of Sound which will feature a series of events at KeyStone 1889, The Victoria and BMEC. The event will run from 23 – 26 February 2022.
Headliners Vika & Linda Bull will perform at BMEC on Saturday 26 February.
The festival also features the Regional Song Content Showcase. Song writers from across the Central West are encouraged to submit original songs for the content. Entries close 5pm 4 February. The top songs will be performed at Keystone on 23 February.

Code of Meeting Practice
The Code of Meeting Practice for Bathurst Regional Council is made under Section 360 of the Local Government Act 1993 and the Local Government Regulation 2005. The code applies to all meetings of Council and Council’s committees of which all the members are councillors.
Council is seeking feedback on the Code of Meeting Practice.
Submissions close Monday 28 February 2022.
Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities for Councillors
Council is required to adopt a policy for the payment of expenses and provision of facilities to the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillors. The policy identified expenses that will be paid and facilities that will be provided in relation to discharging the functions of civic office.
Council is seeking feedback on the payment of expenses and provision of facilities for councillors policy.
Submissions close Monday 28 February 2022.
Aboriginal Commitment Strategy
Council is undertaking community consultation to develop the Aboriginal Commitment Strategy. The strategy will guide Council in working effectively and collaboratively with the Aboriginal community of Bathurst.
Stakeholder workshops will be held on Friday, 18 February.

Section 356 Donations
Council is seeking expressions of interest from community organisations and individuals seeking funding to be included in the 2022/2023 budget. Funding is available for the period from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023.
Application forms are available on Council’s website or from the Civic Centre. Organisations or groups that have received funding previously should re-apply if they wish to be considered for further funding. Applications close 4.00pm on Tuesday, 8 February. Sporting Association Grants
Each year Council provides a grant scheme to assist local sporting organisations to undertake specific works or purchase equipment for the advancement of sport in the region.

BizMonth Launch
Registrations are open for the BizMonth Launch.
Join us for a panel discussion with IBM, Charles Sturt University, Leading Edge Data Centres and NBN Australia on the digital transformation underway in Bathurst. Hosted by Council and the Bathurst Business Chamber in partnership with NBN, this free event is open to all Chamber and non-Chamber members. BizMonth Business Lunch
The BizMonth Business Lunch, sponsored by the Commonwealth Bank, will be held on February 10 at Bathurst Goldfields.
The lunch will feature Shane Jacobson who is an award-winning actor, presenter and entertainer. Shane will deliver a highly entertaining and engaging presentation about his unique life. His keynote centres around his best-selling book The Long Road to Overnight Success and talks about the quintessential Australian sense of humour and the dying art of joke and yarn telling.

Bathurst Careers Expo
The Bathurst Careers Expo will be held on Tuesday, 15 February at the Charles Sturt University Gymnasium, commencing at 9.00am. If you are looking for a change in careers or to see what employment opportunities are available in Bathurst (including Bathurst Regional Council) then mark this date in the calendar. Theo Barker Lecture
Council and the Bathurst District Historical Society present the ninth Theo Barker Lecture at BMEC on Thursday, 17 March at 6pm. Award winning historian, Stephen Gapps, will tell of the occupation of Wiradyuri Country and the resistance warfare between 1822 and 1824 around the Bathurst region. The lecture is free to attend. Temporary Road Closures
Goldsby Street
Goldsby Street West Bathurst will be closed on the corner of Macquarie Street on Tuesday 1 February 2022 from 8am to 4pm. The water main at the intersection will be replaced during the temporary closure.
My Brilliant Career Week
A series of free workshops will be held at the library during 14-19 February covering various aspects of careers, resumes and volunteering. The workshops will feature presenters from The Bathurst Information and Neighbourhood Centre and Kirsten Brumby who is a career coach and author.
