Youth Week Sports Day

NSW Youth Week will be celebrated from 20 to 30 April. The Youth Council in collaboration with Creative Community Concepts will host a sports day to celebrate Youth Week on Friday 21 April from 11.00am to 2.00pm at Morse Park. The event is free and suitable for young people aged 12-25 years. For more information visit www.bathurst.nsw.gov.au

Free Child Restraint Checks

Ensure all children are safe and secure when travelling in vehicles. There will be free child restraint checks by authorised Child Restraint Fitters at Bathurst Toyota on Wednesday 5 April from 11am to 1pm.

Bookings are essential, email Kym.Snow@transport.nsw.gov.au to secure your place.

The community is also invited to Bathurst Library on Wednesday 5 April at 11am to talk with a representative from Transport NSW.

Village Meetings

Council will be holding its next round of meetings with residents in rural areas during April, May and June 2023.

Each meeting will be held at the following locations:

  • Rockley, Sportsground Hall – 18 April at 6.00pm
  • Perthville, Community Hall – 9 May at 6.00pm
  • Trunkey Creek, Community Hall – 22 May at 6.00pm
  • Sunny Corner, Community Hall – 29 May at 6.00pm
  • Wattle Flat, Recreation Hall – 30 May at 6.00pm
  • Hill End, ‘Hosies’, 23 Clarke Street – 13 June at 5.00pm

NRL Tickets on sale

Tickets are now on sale for the round 9 NRL Telstra Premiership at Carrington Park between Penrith Panthers and Wests Tigers, to be played at Carrington Park on Saturday 29 April.

Heritage Assistance Grants

Applications are now invited for small grants, under Section 356 of the Local Government Act 1993, for Council’s Heritage Assistance Funds. Applications must be made on Council’s application form which is available on YourSay Bathurst. Applications close on 9 June.

ClubGRANTS

Council invites community organisations to apply for funding from the 2023 ClubGRANTS Scheme. All applications are required to be completed by ClubGRANTS Online. No manual applications can be received. For more information phone 6333 6523.

Applications close on Friday 21 April.

Danelle Bergstrom: Afterglow 1 April - 11 June

Acclaimed Australian-Swedish painter Danelle Bergstrom works in landscape and portraiture as vessels to navigate human emotion. Afterglow, is the artist’s first career survey and traces the interiorscapes of Bergstrom’s own life as they are reflected in the overtures and undertones of her subjects both in landscape and portrait.
