Temporary Road Closures

Council will conduct road patching works in Howick St between Bentinck and George Sts, Rankin St between Howick and Russell Sts and Russell Sts between Rankin and Bentinck Sts from Sunday 13 March to Friday 25 March, weather permitting. Works are planned to occur from Sunday to Thursday nights.

NRL

Penrith Panthers V Newcastle Knights. The Penrith Panthers return to Carrington Park for a round 3 block buster against the Newcastle Knights on Saturday 26 March.

Panthers Sportsman’s Dinner

The Sportsman's Dinner is a charity event that is on 25 March at 6.30 at Bathurst Panthers Leagues Club.

Play like a Panther Super Clinic

Get the kids to build on their NRL skills at the Play Like a Panther Super Clinic. Brought to you by Reliance Bank, the event is on Thursday 24 March from 4.00pm to 5.30pm. The clinic starts at 4pm at George Park, with entry via Browning Street.

The free clinic will cover all the important rugby league skills and drills including passing, catching and kicking; but most importantly, it's about having plenty of fun with friends.

Tafe Precinct EOI

Council has extended the deadline for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Redevelopment of the former TAFE Precinct to Thursday, 31 March. This extension is in consideration of Covid disruptions experienced in the EOI timeframe to date and is to ensure high-quality proposals are received.

Blayney Road Common and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park

A draft management plan for the Blayney Road Common and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park has been placed on public exhibition. The management plan has been developed for the ongoing conservation and management of the woodland reserve. Feedback will close on Monday, 28 March at 4.00pm.

ClubGRANTS Scheme

Bathurst Regional Council invites local community organisations to apply for funding from the 2022 ClubGRANTS Scheme. Applications close at 4pm on Friday 22 April.

Each year Council provides a grant scheme to assist local sporting organisations to undertake specific works or purchase equipment for the advancement of sport in the region. Theo Barker Lecture

Council and the Bathurst District Historical Society present the ninth Theo Barker Lecture at BMEC on Thursday, 17 March at 6pm. Award winning historian, Stephen Gapps, will tell of the occupation of Wiradyuri Country and the resistance warfare between 1822 and 1824 around the Bathurst region. The lecture is free to attend. ‘No Ordinary Life’ – Author Talk

Author Anne Hutchison returns to the Library to discuss her second book ‘No Ordinary Life’- a historical biography about the authors parents’ experience of WWII and the research and detective work that went into writing it.
