Celebrate with the NSW Seniors Festival
The NSW Seniors Festival will be held from April 13 to 24 and is a celebration of the valuable contribution seniors make to the community. A variety of activities and entertainment will be available for all seniors to enjoy including bus tours, music, morning teas, open days and much more.
Mayor Bobby Bourke said the festival is a chance to say thank you to all the senior members of our community for their service and contribution.
“It’s also an opportunity to make new friends or get together with old ones and participate in many community events,” he said.
“I would like to thank the senior members of our community who contribute immensely to the region by being involved in community groups, clubs, charities and volunteering.”
Some of the activities include:
- Bathurst Library - Art of ageing digital exhibition, scam awareness workshop, Monday movie matinee, Your Life by Design with Julie Ankers
- Bathurst Seymour Centre - Community safety information session, overview of Centrelink services to support seniors, accommodation options and costs, learn about recycling
- Majellan Club - Lawn bowling
- Cityfit – Free fitness classes
- Studio Benefit - Chair yoga, flexit class
- Evans Arts Council - Seniors arts and crafts workshop
- RSL Club - Frankie J Holden and Michelle Pettigrove
- Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre - The Beggars Australian Songbook Live Show
- Gunthers Lane - Tech lessons
- Bathurst Regional Council - Home security workshop
