MEDIA RELEASE 26 March 2021

Bathurst Railway 145th Anniversary

Re-live the halcyon days of country passenger trains in a 1960s Vintage Rail Motor and celebrate the 145th anniversary of the opening of the Main Western Line.

Activities will be held at Bathurst Rail Museum and Bathurst Railway Station on April 3 and 4 with opportunities to take a vintage journey between Bathurst and Sydney or Lithgow, a short shuttle journey to Newbridge and back or ride the Tarana brunch train.

Mayor Bobby Bourke said the museum will have the regular displays as well as a free Thomas the Tank Engine themed jumping castle.
