Consultation has concluded

Bathurst Regional Council, Lithgow City Council and Oberon Council have jointly received funding from the Australian Government and the NSW Government under the Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program to develop a Regional Drought Resilience Plan. This Plan will identify our region’s priorities, provide a roadmap of actions to help us prepare and act early to respond to future drought risks, ultimately reducing impacts on our people, environment, and economy.

We would like to hear your views about how our communities and businesses feel about our current levels of drought preparedness, and to understand what actions you want to see prioritised to improve our resilience to future drought events. When you think about drought, think also about when you experienced water shortages due to periods of prolonged dry.

Your feedback will be used as input into more detailed engagement with the Bathurst, Lithgow, and Oberon communities over the next few months as we develop our first Regional Drought Resilience Plan.

Your responses are confidential.

If you choose to opt in to participate in future community consultation on this topic, we will ask for your name and contact details so we can get in touch with you. Your personal details will not be used for any other purpose, and your survey responses will still remain anonymous.

The survey will take a maximum of 5 minutes to complete.

Please take the opportunity to Have Your Say.

The survey closes at 5pm on Sunday 8 October 2023
