Bathurst Regional Council Adopts Villages Strategy – Now an Adopted Council Strategy

Bathurst Regional Council has formally adopted the Villages Strategy at its meeting on Wednesday, 15 October 2025.

The Villages Strategy sets out a long-term vision for Bathurst’s rural villages, focusing on four key themes:

• Building a Strong Local Economy
• Council Leadership and Collaboration
• Environmental Sustainability
• A Caring and Resilient Community

The Strategy provides a framework to support sustainable, community-driven growth, guiding future planning, infrastructure, and investment across the villages of the Bathurst region.

Council encourages residents, business owners and community groups to review the adopted Strategy and consider how it reflects the shared values and aspirations of their communities.
